Based on the performances of 131 economies in four key pillars technology, people, governance, and impact the report maps the network-based readiness landscape of those economies in its most recent version for 2022.
India’s score increased from 49.74 in 2021 to 51.19 in 2022, along with its ranking. According to the report, India ranked first in the world for the concentration of AI talent, second for mobile broadband internet traffic within the nation and international Internet bandwidth, third for annual telecommunications service investment and domestic market size, fourth for exports of ICT services, fifth for FTTH and building internet subscriptions, and sixth for publications of AI-related scientific research.
The Portland Center, a Washington, DC-based independent non-profit, nonpartisan research and educational institute, produced the report. According to the report, India’s network readiness is higher than would be predicted given its economic level.
