The myCGHS app for the iOS ecosystem of devices was introduced in New Delhi today by Apurva Chandra, Secretary, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) app is made to improve beneficiaries’ access to information, resources, and Electronic Health Records. For Android users, the app was already available. Mr. Chandra told reporters that the myCGHS app makes it easier to do a lot of things, like making and canceling online appointments, getting lab reports from CGHS labs, reviewing medical history, monitoring the status of medical reimbursement claims, getting referral information, and finding wellness centers and hospitals that are in the area.
The Union Health Secretary also made it clear that there is no plan to end the CGHS program in response to concerns raised over the connection between ABHA ID and CHGS cards. Ayushman Bharat Health Account, or ABHA for short, is the national digital identification for health and is a component of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, he stated. He claimed that over 55 crore ABHA Cards had been issued.
