New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given the go-ahead to award qualified non–gazetted railway employees a Productivity Linked Bonus (PLB) equivalent to 78 days of pay, excluding RPF or RPSF members for the fiscal year 2021–2022,.
The ruling is anticipated to be advantageous to some 11.27 lakh non-gazetted railroad personnel. Before the holidays of Dussehra and Puja, this payment will be paid, putting smiles on the faces of thousands of families. According to the Ministry of Railways, railroad workers were crucial to the success of the passenger and freight services, which also served as economic boosters.
In fact, even throughout the lockdown, railway employees made sure that important goods like food, fertiliser, coal, and other products continued to transit without interruption. Railways has made sure that there is no lack of these goods in the operational area. The payment of PLB would act as a motivator for many railway employees, particularly those engaged in the construction and operation of railways, to increase their output and guarantee the speed, safety, and quality of service for railway consumers. The PLB payment will also increase demand over the approaching festival season.
