New Delhi: Power, New and Renewable Energy Minister R.K. Singh has said that the global dependence on fossil fuels is unhealthy not only for environment but also for the economy. Mr. Singh said this while inaugurating the 5th Assembly of the International Solar Alliance in New Delhi.
The majority of specialists, he continued, concur that solar photovoltaic systems are the quickest and most affordable way to generate electricity. More than 650 million people worldwide do not have access to electricity, he continued. The International Solar Alliance, according to Mr. Singh, has come a long way since it was founded and is progressing quickly.
According to the minister, ISA’s member nations have banded together to address the problems caused by the global climate change. He claimed that solar technology made it possible to install mini-grids in isolated regions.
