Gandhidham: Amit Shah, the minister of state for home affairs and international cooperation, asserted that India needs another green revolution, this time in the form of natural farming, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in order to secure the best possible value addition for farmers and prevent the deterioration of farmland.
Speaking to the crowd today in Gandhidham in Kutch after laying the cornerstone for the IFFCO Nano Urea Plant, Mr. Shah stated that the new Green Revolution aspires to achieve three main objectives, including achieving self-sufficiency in food production and bringing wealth to the farmers.
The Minister also mentioned the several advantages the nano urea plant will bring to the agricultural economy. According to him, the plant will be crucial in lowering fertiliser imports and achieving India’s goal of being self-sufficient in the fertiliser sector. The Minister further stated that the nano urea will assist preserve soil nutrients and ensure wise fertiliser use.
