New Delhi: The 77th Independence Day will be celebrated tomorrow around the country. As he addresses the populace from the Red Fort’s ramparts in New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hoist the national flag. The finale of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, which Mr. Modi started in March 2021, will be celebrated on Independence Day this year, ushering the nation into Amrit Kaal with renewed vigour in order to make India a developed nation by 2047.

At the Red Fort on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, the Prime Minister will examine the Guard of Honour. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be greeted on the Red Fort’s ramparts by Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh, Raksha Rajya Mantri Ajay Bhatt, Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, Chief of the Army Staff General Manoj Pande, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral R Hari Kumar, and Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari after inspecting the Guard of Honour. Two Indian Air Force Advanced Light Helicopters Mark-III Dhruv will drop flower petals at the location as the Prime Minister raises the National Flag.

This year, a number of fresh initiatives have been implemented to commemorate the occasion in line with the government’s aim of Jan Bhagidari. From all throughout the nation, 1,800 Special Guests have been invited. Sarpanchs from more than 660 thriving villages, representatives from Farmer Producer Organisations, the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme, the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, and Shram Yogis from the Central Vista Project, which includes the New Parliament Building, are among these distinguished guests.

Additionally, 75 couples from each State and Union Territory have been invited, and they will attend in traditional garb. Participating will be 1,000 NCC cadets from all throughout the nation.
