New Delhi: The reputation of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, or CAG, as a reliable auditing organisation is well known on a global scale, according to Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar.

The Vice President stated that the CAG is playing a crucial role as an external auditor at various UN organisations as he opened the second Audit Diwas at the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General in New Delhi.

He emphasised the crucial role that open accountability plays in the provision of public services. Vice President praised CAG for its excellent effort. He continued, saying CAG should come up with creative ways to incorporate the public in its auditing procedures.
