Deputy Inspector General N Ravi has assumed duties as new State Commander of Indian Coast Guard in Kerala and Mahe. He had taken over the helm from outgoing Officer DIG Sanatan Jena, TM on 21 Jul 2021.
The Flag Officer graduated from Madras Institute of Technology (MIT) and he joined the Indian Coast Guard service on 07 Jan 1995. The Officer is an alumnus of Defence Services Staff College, Wellington.
In his illustrious career, the Flag Officer had the distinction of holding important Command and Staff appointments, both afloat and ashore. In his previous appointment, he has commanded Interceptor Boat C-136, Fast Patrol Vessel (FPV) Sarojini Naidu, Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV) ICGS Varuna which was part of Training Squadron (TS-1), Advanced Offshore Patrol Vessel (AOPV) ICGS Vishwast. His important appointments include Joint Director Ships Acquisition, Chief of Staff at Andaman and Nicobar Command and Principal Director (Logistics) at Coast Guard Headquarters, Delhi prior to this appointment.
The Flag Officer is a proud recipient of the CINCAN commendation and Director General Indian Coast Guard commendation for devotion to duty.
