New Delhi: Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari announced that his government has undertaken 321 national highway projects totaling 1,49,758 crore rupees, or roughly 8,544 km in length.
In a written reply to the Lok Sabha, Mr. Gadkari stated that the government as a whole approaches network design based on the PM Gati Shakti philosophy before developing national highways.
Significant linkages with the tourism, business, and religious sectors are always considered during the development planning process, with a particular emphasis on Way Side Amenities, he continued.
