New Delhi: The 242nd Corps of Engineers Day is being honoured by the Indian Army. All ranks of the Corps of Engineers have received congratulations on the occasion from Chief of the Army Staff General Manoj Pande, Chief of the Army Staff General Anil Chauhan, and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.
Engineer-in-Chief and Senior Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Engineers Lt Gen Harpal Singh has urged the Corps to increase its efforts to be ready for upcoming challenges and to renew its commitment to being a dependable, adaptable, and omnipresent arm of the Army in a special message on the occasion of Corps Day.
The Corps of Engineers not only aids the public during natural disasters but also develops infrastructure for the armed forces and other defence organisations and maintains connectivity along our extensive boundaries. The Corps’ four pillars Combat Engineers, Military Engineer Service, Border Road Organization, and Military Survey perform these duties.
