Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone, inaugurate, and dedicate over two thousand railway infrastructure projects worth over 41 thousand crore rupees to the nation.
The prime minister has frequently emphasized how crucial it is to provide top-notch amenities at train stops. He will lay the groundwork for the reconstruction of 553 railway stations as part of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, marking a significant milestone in this initiative. Redevelopment of these stations, which are dispersed among 27 States and Union Territories, will come at a cost of more than 19,000 crore rupees. As “City Centers,” these stations will serve to connect the city’s two sides.
These will have upgraded modern façades, a kids play area, food courts, kiosks, roof plazas, lovely landscaping, and intermodal connectivity, among other contemporary passenger facilities. They will be renovated to be both Divyang and environmentally friendly. These station buildings’ designs will be influenced by the local way of life, architectural style, and legacy. The Gomti Nagar station in Uttar Pradesh, which has undergone renovations costing approximately 385 crore rupees, will be inaugurated by Modi. This station features separate arrival and departure areas to accommodate the anticipated growth in passenger traffic in the future.
