Union Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan unveiled the National Apprenticeship and Training Scheme 2.0 Portal and awarded apprentices stipends of 100 crore rupees via the DBT mechanism. These apprentices are receiving training in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, information technology, and automobiles. This program is in line with the government’s emphasis on youth employment and skill development.
Speaking at the function, Mr. Pradhan stated that NATS Portal 2.0 is a major initiative to democratize apprenticeship, close the skills gap, fulfill the dreams of young people, and prepare them for the future. The Minister emphasized that increasing employment and skilling is also a top priority in this year’s budget. The Minister urged all businesses and educational establishments to sign up for the NATS 2.0 platform. Prof. M. Jagadesh Kumar, the chairperson of the UGC, praised the government’s endeavors at the event. According to him, this gateway is desperately needed to assist young people in advancing the nation.
