New Delhi: Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, the president of Egypt, will attend the ceremonies of Republic Day on January 26th, 2019, as the chief guest. The President of Egypt will be the Republic Day chief guest for the first time this year.
According to the External Affairs Ministry, India and Egypt have cordial relations built on centuries-old cultural ties.
This year marks the 75th anniversary of the two nations’ establishing of diplomatic relations. Egypt has been asked to participate in the G-20 during India’s Presidency in 2022–2023 as a “Guest Country.”
