New Delhi: In comparison to the same period last year, the government said that the area planted with rabi crops had grown by 15% so far this year. According to the Agriculture Ministry, there are now over 526 lakh hectares of rabi crops planted, up from 457 lakh hectares previously.

The distribution of large-scale seed micro kits, prompt input supply, and technological diffusion are to blame for the larger coverage. According to the ministry, the government is making every effort to assist farmers by ensuring a supply of high-quality seeds and other inputs as well as the availability of finance and crop insurance.

In accordance with Ministry, the country’s production of foodgrains will reach a new high thanks to the expanded area and enhanced productivity. It claimed that due to increased production and support for remunerative prices, farmers’ incomes would also rise.
