The 2024 Lok Sabha Elections have concluded with the tabulation of votes.

Elections for the Lok Sabha in 2024 are now being counted. Together with the byelections to 25 Assembly Constituencies, the counting of the results from the Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh and Odisha is also ongoing. Although the I.N.D.I.A bloc secured 156 seats and is ahead in 77 seats, the Others are leading in 19 seats, and the NDA has won 230 seats out of 543 seats and is leading in 61 seats. With only 184 seats won, the BJP now holds a 56-seat majority. In addition to winning 27 seats, Congress now holds 72.

Prime Minister and BJP leader Narendra Modi of Varanasi, Union Ministers Amit Shah of Gandhinagar, Om Birla of Kota, Arjun Ram Meghwal of Bikaner, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat of Jodhpur, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia of Guna, Samajwadi Party leader Dimple Yadav of Mainpuri seat, and TMC leader Shatrughan Sinha of Asansol are among the notable candidates who have emerged victorious.

BJP leader and Union Minister Arjun Munda from Khunti, Smriti Irani from Amethi, Omar Abdullah from Baramullah, leader of the National Conference, and PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti from Anantnag constituency are among the notable candidates who have lost.

The results of 53 contests have been announced in Uttar Pradesh. Samajwadi Party has won 23 seats, Congress has won 4, and BJP has won 23. One seat each has been won by Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD), Apna Dal (Soneylal) (ADAL), and Aazad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) (ASPKR). Ajay Rai of the Congress was defeated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Varanasi by a margin of more than one lakh fifty thousand votes.

Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress, defeated Dinesh Pratap Singh, the BJP opponent, with a margin of more than 3 lakh 90 thousand votes to be declared the winner of the Rae Bareli seat. Arun Govil from Meerut, Hema Malini from Mathura, Jitin Prasad from Pilibhit, Dr. Mahesh Sharma from Gautam Buddha Nagar, Swami Sachchidanand Hari Sakshi from Unnao, and Ravi Kishan from Gorakhpur are among the other notable BJP winners. In Amethi, Kishori Lal of the Congress defeated Smriti Irani of the BJP, and in Kheri, Ajay Kumar of the BJP lost to Utkarsh Verma “Madhur” of the Samajwadi Party. In the Sultanpur constituency, Samajwadi Party candidate Rambhual Nishad defeated BJP candidate Menka Gandhi by a margin of more than 43,000 votes.

With a margin of more than two lakh twenty thousand votes, Samajwadi Party candidate Dimpal Yadav has been declared the winner in the Mainpuri Constituency against BJP candidate Jayveer Singh. AsPKR’s Chandrashekhar was victorious from the Nagina Constituency. Recent trends show that the BJP is leading in ten seats, the Samajwadi Party in fourteen, the Congress in two, and the Rashtriya Lok Dal in one. In the Lucknow constituency, Rajnath Singh of the BJP is leading by a margin of over one lakh votes. In Kanauj, Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav is ahead by more than 1 lakh 70 thousand.

The BJP is in the lead in five Delhi constituencies and won two seats. Ramvir Singh Bidhuri won the South Delhi seat, while Praveen Khandelwal won the Chandni Chowk seat. In their respective constituencies, BJP candidates Manoj Tiwari, Bansuri Swaraj, Kamaljeet Sehrawat, Yogendra Chandoliya, and Harsh Malhotra are in the lead. 13 seats total in Punjab. Congress has won seven seats, the Aam Aadmi Party has three, Shiromani Akali Dal has one, and Independents have two. Trends are available for all 10 seats in Haryana. In four seats, the BJP leads, while the Congress leads in six. Manish Tewari, the Congress candidate, is ahead of Sanjay Tandon, the BJP candidate, in the race for Chandigarh’s lone Lok Sabha seat.

The BJP is ahead in two of the six seats in Jammu and Kashmir, followed by the National Conference in two and the Independent in one. In the race for the Baramullah Lok Sabha constituency, Independent candidate Engineer Sheikh Rashid is leading National Conference contender and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. In the race for the Udhampur parliamentary seat, BJP candidate and Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh is in the lead. In the Anantnag-Rajouri constituency, PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti is lagging behind National Conference contender Mian Altaf Ahmad. Independent candidate Haji Hanifa has won the only parliamentary seat in Ladakh.

The BJP has taken all four Lok Sabha seats in Himachal Pradesh. The BJP has replicated the past two years’ history with this resounding victory. This time around, prominent figures including as actor Kangana Ranaut and Union Minister Anurag Singh Thakur were among the winners.

The results of two seats in Uttarakhand have been announced. In Nainital-Udhamsingh Nagar, BJP candidate Ajay Bhatt defeated Congress opponent Prakash Joshi by a margin of more than 3 lakh votes. By a margin of more than one lakh sixty-four thousand votes, BJP candidate Trivendra Singh Rawat was victorious from the Haridwar seat over Congress contender Virendra Rawat. In the final three Lok Sabha seats, the BJP is also in the lead.

In the Almora and Tehri-Garhwal constituencies, respectively, Ajay Tamta and Mala Rajya Lakshmi Shah are leading by a margin of more than two lakh votes. In Garhwal, Anil Baluni is leading by a margin of more than one hundred fifty thousand votes. The results for each of Rajasthan’s 25 Lok Sabha seats have been announced. Eight seats went to the Congress, while the BJP gained 14 seats. One seat each has been secured by the CPI(M), the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party, and the Bharat Adiwasi Party.

Ajmer, Alwar, Bhilwara, Bikaner, Chittorgarh, Jaipur, Jaipur Rural, Jalore, Jhalawar-Baran, Jodhpur, Kota, Pali, Rajsamand, and Udaipur have all seen the declaration of election results for BJP candidates. Barmer, Bharatpur, Churu, Dausa, Ganganagar, Jhunjhunu, Karauli-Dholpur, and Tonk-Sawai Madhopur constituencies have all been won by the Congress. Candidates from Banswara, Sikar, and Nagaur have been defeated by the Bharat Adiwasi Party, CPI(M), and Rashtriya Loktantrik Party, respectively.

Prahlad Gunjal, the Congress opponent, lost to BJP candidate Om Birla by a margin of more than 41,000 votes. By a margin of more than 55,000 votes, BJP candidate Arjun Ram Meghwal defeated Congress opponent Govind Ram Meghwal in the Bikaner election. With a margin of more than one lakh votes, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat of the BJP defeated Karan Singh Uchiyarda of the Congress in the Jodhpur constituency.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has won 25 seats in Gujarat, with one seat going to the Congress. In Maharashtra, the BJP has won 4 seats, Shiv Sena (UBT) 4, INC 3, Shiv sena (SHS) 2, NCP (SP) and NCP have each won 1 seat. In Goa, the BJP and Congress have each won 1 seat. In Madhya Pradesh, the BJP has won 28 seats and is leading by 1 seat.

Jyotiraditya Scindia won the Guna seat by a margin of more than five lakh votes, Rahul Singh Lodhi won the Damoh seat by a margin of more than four lakh votes, Faggan Singh Kulaste won the Mandla seat, Dr. Virendra Kumar won the Tikamgarh seat, and Shankar Lalwani won the Indore seat.

After 26 years, the victory of BJP’s Bunty Vivek Sahu in the Chhindwara seat has elevated both the party and the Congress to a position of prestige. In MP, the Congress ran on 27 seats, while the BJP ran on all 29. Samajwadi Party had one seat reserved by Congress. The results are starting to come in for Chhattisgarh. A poll was held on 11 seats. The BJP is leading in six seats and has won four. Congress has a one-seat advantage. The BJP is ahead on 14 seats in Odisha after winning 5 seats. Congress and BJD both hold one seat in the lead.

Elections for 14 seats in the Lok Sabha were conducted in Jharkhand. The Congress has two seats, the AJSU Party has one, JMM has two, and the BJP has eight. Arjun Munda, a Union Minister and BJP leader, lost the Khunti seat. Kalicharan Munda, the Congress candidate, defeated him by a margin of more than one lakh forty thousand votes.

Annapurna Devi, a BJP leader and union minister, won the Koderma seat. The following BJP candidates have also won: Nishikant Dubey from Godda; Dhullu Mahto from Dhanbad; Vidut Baran Mahto from Jamshedpur; Kalicharan Singh from Chatra; Manish Jaiswal from Hazaribagh; Sanjay Seth from Ranchi; and BD Ram from Palamu.

The Trinamool Congress is in the lead in 14 constituencies and has gained 15 seats in West Bengal. Three notable victors of the party are Shatrughan Prasad Sinha, Kirti Jha Azad, and Abhishek Banerjee. With a margin of victory of more than seven lakh votes, Abhishek won the election. With two wins, the BJP now holds a 10-seat advantage.

Malda Dakshin seat has been won by Congressman Isha Khan Choudhary. BJP is ahead on four seats in Bihar after winning eight. JD(U) is ahead on six seats after winning six. The Lok Jan Shakti party, led by Ram Vilas, has won two seats and is now leading the Congress party by three. Each of RJD, HAMS, and the independent candidate won one seat.

The BJP now holds nine seats in Assam, the Congress three, and the Asom Gana Parishad and United People’s Party (Liberal) one apiece. In Dibrugarh, Union Minister and BJP candidate Sarbananda Sonowal is ahead by more than 2 lakh seventy-five thousand votes.

The BJP has taken both of the seats in Tripura. In the Tripura West parliamentary seat, its candidate and former chief minister, Biplab Kumar Deb, defeated Congressman Ashish Kumar Saha by a margin of more than 6 lakh 11 thousand five hundred votes. Rajendra Reang of the CPIM lost to BJP candidate Kriti Devi Debbarman by a margin of more than 4 lakh 86,000 votes.

Arunachal West Parliamentary constituency in Arunachal Pradesh was won by BJP candidate and Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, who defeated Congressman Nabam Tuki by more than one lakh votes. Tapir Gao, a BJP candidate, defeated Congressman Bosiram Siram, his closest opponent, by a margin of more than 30,000 votes.

Congress is in the lead in Manipur on both seats. Richard Vanlalhmangaiha of the Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) won by more than 68 thousand votes in Mizoram, defeating K. Vanlalvena of the Mizo National Front, who was his closest opponent.

S.S. Jamir, a Congress candidate, defeated Dr. Chumben Murry by more than fifty thousand nine hundred votes to win the sole Lok Sabha seat in Nagaland. Saleng A. Sangma, a Congress candidate, defeated National People’s Party opponent Agatha Sangma by more than one lakh fifty thousand votes to win the Tura seat in Meghalaya. Dr. Ricky Andrew J Singkon, a candidate for the Voice of the People Party (VOTPP), defeated Congressman Vincent H Pala by a margin of more than 3 lakh 71 thousand votes to win the Shillong seat.

The sole Sikkim Lok Sabha seat has been won by Indra Hang Subba, a candidate for the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM). Bishnu Pada Ray, a BJP contender, is leading for the only parliamentary seat in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The Lok Sabha seats for Daman and Diu have been won by Independent candidate Umeshbhai Babubhai Patel, while the BJP’s Kalaben Delkar has secured the seat for Dadra and Nagar Haveli. Out of the 25 Lok Sabha Constituencies in Andhra Pradesh, the TDP has four seats gained and is in the lead with twelve. The BJP is ahead on one seat after winning two. YSRCP led on two seats and won two sets.

Of the seventeen Lok Sabha constituencies in Telangana. With seven seats won by the BJP and one seat in the lead, the Congress has four seats won and one seat in the lead, while AIMIM has one seat in the lead. Out of 39 Lok Sabha Constituencies in Tamil Nadu, the DMK has won 06 seats and is leading by 16 seats; the Congress has won 02 seats; the CPI(M) has won 2 seats; and the CPI and MDMK have each won 1 seat. On two seats, VCK is in the lead.

Twenty Lok Sabha Constituencies are in Kerala. With 13 seats won, Congress is ahead by 1 seat. The CPI (M) secured one seat, the IUML led by one seat, the BJP secured one seat, and other parties secured two seats. Of the 28 Lok Sabha Constituencies in Karnataka. The BJP secured 17 seats. JDS got two seats, while Congress won nine. YSRCP has won 02 seats and is leading on 02 seats, TDP has won 5 seats and is leading on 11 seats, BJP has won 02 seats and is leading on 01 seat, and others have won 02 seats and are leading on 02 seats in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly polls. In Odisha, the BJD is leading on one seat, the Congress has won one, and the BJP has won six seats, taking a 13-point advantage. The election results for the BJP are Bhartruhari Mahtab, Aparajita Sarangi, Pradeep Purohit, and Ananta Nayak.
