Minister of Union Coal Mines G Kishan Reddy urged cooperation amongst all parties involved in the mineral industry in order to attain self-reliance, particularly with regard to essential minerals. He opened the Critical Minerals Road Show and the Mineral Exploration Hackathon this morning in Hyderabad. On this occasion, the Minister gave the composite license letters to the top bidders in the e-auction for vital minerals held in the second and third tranches. Additionally, he made available reports on Telangana Geology and Mineral Resources, as well as the National District Mineral Fund (DMF) Portal.
Speaking at the event, the Minister stated that the government has made a number of transparent development-related moves in all industries, including mining. The minister predicted that the nation’s economy will rise to become the third largest in the world in the next three years and stated that the mineral sector is essential to the nation’s goal of becoming self-sufficient in many areas. He said that the pace of mineral discovery has quickened and that, in order to keep up with the rising demand for minerals, innovative and novel approaches are being used.
