TB will be eradicated in India by 2025: Mansukh Mandaviya.

New Delhi: This year, there have been 18% fewer instances of TB throughout the nation. In accordance with the aim of the government, which is five years ahead of the Sustainable Development Goal, tuberculosis would be eradicated in India by 2025, according to Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya.

As part of its corporate social responsibility, Indian Oil Corporation Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Central TB Division and the States of Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh to carry out an enhanced TB elimination programme.

Among the big Indian States, Uttar Pradesh and Chhatisgarh have the largest proportion of TB cases. Dr. Mandaviya applauded the signing of the MOU and emphasised the critical role that these MoUs will play in eradicating the TB threat. According to him, the diagnostic assistance offered as part of the MOU will enhance efforts to identify TB patients and enable prompt treatment.
