At Frontier Headquarters BSF Jammu, a “Rozgar Mela” was held as part of the Mission Recruitment of the Union Government to distribute recruitment letters to the 250 candidates who had been chosen from the BSF, CRPF, CISF, SSB, and ITBP. In the presence of IG BSF Jammu D K Boora and other officers senior officials, Minister of State of “the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region & Cooperation” B. L. Verma gave the actual copies of the appointment letters to the new appointees.
Speaking at the event, the Union Minister stated that, as earlier promised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the goal of hiring ten lakh young people will be achieved by December of this year. Until the 7th Rozgar Mela, he continued, 4.84 lakh people had been hired.
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has filled over one lakh positions through mission recruitment during these Rozgar Melas, of which roughly 87,000 vacancies have been filled in CAPFs. According to the Minister, this will greatly enable our security forces in carrying out their activities more effectively and efficiently as well as in managing a variety of security challenges across the entire nation.
