New Delhi: The scientific community has been urged by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to develop technological solutions to raise the protein content of cereals and create new millet varieties that would increase yield and nutritional value.
Modi will also urged the scientific community to pursue creative techniques for tackling energy demands, with an emphasis on Green energy, and to develop technology not just for India but for the entire world. In New Delhi, Mr. Modi made this statement while presiding over a meeting of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) organisation.
The Prime Minister, who serves as the CSIR’s President, commended the Council for its work over the previous 80 years and challenged it to create a vision for 2042, when CSIR will reach 100. He underlined the need for an integrated strategy that includes scientific, commercial, and social components if technology is to benefit the average person.
