Narendra Modi speaks at the Wardha PM Vishwakarma Yojana Anniversary Event

Prime Minister Narendra Modi encouraged artisans to use the PM Vishwakarma scheme’s advantages to start their own businesses. The prime minister was speaking at a celebration at Swavalambai Ground in Wardha on the anniversary of the PM Vishwakarma Yojana.

According to the PM, approximately 6.5 lakh people received contemporary equipment and toolkits to boost traditional profession output. He also discussed the advantages of the loan programme, which offers a three lakh rupee loan. Loans of 1400 crore rupees have been disbursed to the recipients in the past year. Additionally, he emphasized that the majority of the program’s participants are members of scheduled tribes and castes.

The Maharashtra government’s “Acharya Chanakya Skill Development Center” provides free skill development training to youngsters, and the “Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Women Startup Scheme” assists women-led enterprises in becoming self-sufficient. These are the two initiatives that the prime minister introduced.
PM establishes the program’s framework for the 1,000-hectare PM MITRA textile park, which would be located in the Amravati area of West Vidarbha. Over ten thousand million rupees in investment and 100,000 job possibilities are anticipated from this project.
