Mission Amrit Sarovar has built or renovated more than 66,000 Amrit Sarovars in India to date.

Under the purview of Mission Amrit Sarovar, over 66 000 Amrit Sarovars have already been built or renovated around the nation. A minimum of 75 Amrit Sarovar are required to be built or renovated in each district as part of the Mission Amrit Sarovar initiative, which aims to create sustainable water sources. According to a statement from the Ministry of Rural Development, 81 thousand 425 of the 1 lakh 12 thousand 277 identified Amrit Sarovars have seen the start of construction.

66,278 Amrit Sarovars have reportedly been built or renovated, according to the statement. The Ministry further stated that efforts have been made by the states to meet the aim of 75 Amrit Sarovars per district. Some districts have not yet reached the goal of 75 Amrit Sarovars per district in West Bengal, Punjab, Telangana, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Haryana, Bihar, and Rajasthan, among other states. Additionally, the Ministry reported that the 50 000 Amrit Sarovars national goal has been met.
