KLA (Kerala Law Academy) has announced the commencement of ‘Think Tank Professional Lecture Series’ ,a training programme for imparting practical knowledge for Law Students and Legal knowledge pursuants to prepare them for a real life legal battle or being a judicial officer.
Inaugurating the session Director KLA, Adv Nagaraj Narayanan, stressed on the need of practical knowledge as the plight of a judicial officer with less or no experience would be disastrous to his career. The vision is to produce practically empowered legal professionals from the students of KLA and others who would want the practical specialized training.
The Think Tank Professional Lecture series, a continuing series encompasses the nuances of the noble profession of advocacy. In the initial lecture as a prelude to the sea of knowledge to be opened to all, Experienced Criminal Lawyer and academician Adv Vineethkumar stressed on the general topics about the name “Legum Baccalaureus” and “Legum Magister”, the acronyms of which is known to all as LLB and LLM, but rarely studied. He also elucidated the reasons why the “BAR” and the “BENCH” are called so, citing examples from the annals of European History. His experience as a Public Prosecutor in many leading cases would be topics of discussion in the ensuing sessions from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM each day of this training programme. More would be unravelled during the upcoming sessions with excerpts of experience from Leading Advocate Adv. Anil Prasad.
