At an estimated cost of six thousand 456 crore rupees, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved one multi-tracking project and two new lines for Indian Railways. These initiatives will decrease logistics costs, ease travel, lower CO2 emissions, minimize oil imports, and provide connectivity.
Speaking to the media following the Cabinet meeting in New Delhi, Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said that the new 37-kilometer double line between Sardega and Bhalumuda and the 121-kilometer third line between Jamshedpur, Purulia, and Asansol had been approved.
Eleven lakh people living in one thousand three hundred villages would have access to the new line developments. 114 lakh mandays will be directly employed throughout the building of the projects.
