Crucial Meet Of RSS to Discuss Centenary and Expansion in Kashmir

Ahmedabad: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat and other senior RSS functionaries will take part in the organisation’s three-day Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha to be held at Karnavati from March 11.

The Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha is the highest decision-making body of the RSS that meets annually.

“This meeting is of utmost importance from the decision-making point of view. During the meeting, various plans and decisions for the upcoming years will also be finalised,” the RSS said in a statement. The reports of last year’s activities of the RSS and future work expansion plans as well as present scenarios are likely to come up for discussion in the meeting, which will be held in adherence to the COVID-19 protocols, it said.

“This meeting is important for taking decisions. During the meeting, plans and decisions for coming years will be finalised and the previous year’s activities will also be deliberated on. The expansion plans of the Sangh, the Sangh Shiksha Varg and the current situation would also be discussed,” said RSS media and publicity head Sunil Ambekar in the statement.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation last year, the meet was organised on a smaller scale.

Apart from Bhagwat, RSS Sarkaryavah (general secretary) Dattatreya Hosabale and other functionaries at the regional and zonal levels along with organisational secretaries are expected to attend this year’s meet, a Sangh functionary said.

This important meeting of the Sangh is starting from March 11 at a time when the results of the Legislative Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa, Manipur will be declared a day before. At the same time, the sources said that 100 years of the establishment of the Sangh are being completed in 2025. hence, a detailed discussion will be held about the expansion of the organization and the outline of various programs on the completion of the centenary year of the Sangh. Organizations including union workers have been asked to prepare a plan at the district level and this subject will also be considered in this meeting. In this, emphasis will be given on expansion in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Northeast, Tamil Nadu and hilly areas.
