New Delhi: All primary schools in the nation’s capital will be closed from today to November 5 until the city’s air quality improves. Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, stated that the city government is also thinking about introducing the Odd-Even model in the national capital, if necessary.

Additionally stepping up its efforts to reduce air pollution in the national capital is the Commission for Air Quality Management in NCR and Adjoining Areas. The Commission on Thursday ordered the fourth stage of the Graded Response Action Plan to be implemented as a preventative measure to stop future degradation of the overall air quality in the NCR.

It forbids the admission of trucks into Delhi save for those transporting necessities, those rendering necessities, and all CNG and electric trucks. Additionally, the National Capital Region and the Districts of the NCR that surround Delhi have outlawed the usage of 4-wheeler diesel light motor vehicles, with the exception of BS-VI vehicles and those used for essential and emergency services.
