New Delhi: The government said on Friday that starting in the following year, a specially created exam will be used by the UPSC to select for the Indian Railway Management Service, or IRMS.

The test will be divided into two parts: a preliminary screening exam, then a main written exam and an interview.

All qualified applicants must appear in the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination before being shortlisted for the IRMS (Main) Examination. For each category, the age restrictions and the number of tries will be the same as for the Civil Services Examination.
