A notification regarding the hiring of Sub-Inspectors (Exe.) and Constables (Exe.) for the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF) has been released by the Railways Recruitment Board. Prospective applicants may review the prerequisites and further pertinent information about the hiring process here or on the official website, rpf.indianrailways.gov.in. The present hiring process is being used to fill 2000 positions in the RPF/RPSF for Constables and 250 positions for Sub-Inspectors.

10% of these positions will be allocated to former military personnel, while 15% will go to female applicants. The Sub Inspector (Executive) position has an age minimum of 20 to 25 years old. Conversely, the age range for Constables (Executives) is 18 to 25. For candidates from the reserved categories, however, there is an upper-age relaxation.

The Sub Inspector examination standard will be degree level, and the Constable examination standard will be matriculation (Class 10th) level. To be eligible for the CBT, candidates must score 35% overall (30% for SC and ST candidates). The relevant Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will make the final decision about the outcome of the Computer Based Test (CBT). In collaboration with the RPF Nodal Officer, RRB will issue the call letter for the PET/PMT.
