NEW DELHI:When Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor tested positive after attending a couple of parties, there was a hue and cry. Her umpteen number of pictures are everywhere.Everyone in India now knows her name.
Kanika was exposed. A case has been registered against her against public negligence.
Why the Kerala government is not exposing the Kasaragod patient, who met around 3000 people and locked down the entire district, in such a manner? Why the Indian society is observing this double standard? Is it because the Kasaragod patient is loyal to some Muslim political leaders?
Even the District Collector has alleged that the patient has not revealed all the places and people he had visited. It raised suspicion that the patient maybe the carrier of smugglers. A voice clip of a nurse who is treating him reveals the patient is not co operating. A lot of people are still visiting him;he is spitting out through the window.
The Kasaragod district administration in Kerala published on Saturday the route map of the Covid-19 patient. According to the report, the patient, a resident of Eriyal village in Kasaragod, travelled extensively during a span of six days.
The person had visited Dubai and had landed in Kerala’s Calicut International Airport on March 11.
On the day of his arrival, he stayed at a small hotel near the airport as there were some issues regarding the delivery of his baggage. On the same day, he visited the airport multiple times during the day and later in the evening.
Early morning on March 12, he checked out of the hotel and headed to Calicut Railway Station in an auto-rickshaw.
From the station, he boarded the Mangalore bound Maveli Express and travelled to Kasaragod in the S9 compartment. Later, from the railway station, he took another auto-rickshaw to his home.
Though all passengers with a foreign travel history were advised to be on home quarantine for 14 days, this patient seemed to have roamed freely after reaching his home village in Kasaragod district.
On March 12, the patient visited his brother’s house in Maipady region. He also went to a club later in the evening.
From March 13 to March 15, he travelled extensively across the district. On March 13, he played football with some kids in the morning, offered prayers during the Friday Juma in a mosque and visited a barber shop.
The next day, he attended a marriage function and a post-marriage function. On March 15, he attended another post-marriage function. This was followed by a series of events including house warming and a cradle ceremony on the following day.
On March 16 night, he visited a private nursing home in Kasaragod.
His swab was collected on March 17 at the Kasaragod General hospital.
The patient also revealed that he stayed at his brother’s house for the next three days after his samples were collected and then on March 19, he was admitted to the hospital isolation ward after his test results were positive.
The district administration, however, feels that the patient hasn’t revealed his travel details completely.
The Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan should take the call and reveal the identity of the patient with his picture.
